Welcome to Rowans

Welcome to Rowan’s Class website page. We will update the class page with news and events that take place to show the fantastic work in Rowan’s Class. The staff in Rowans are Anthony and Jayne.

The children in Rowan’s Class are provided with a visual environment where a range of support strategies are used including; songs for the sequence of the day, visual timetables and planned movement breaks. Activities during the day are structured to help the children cope with the rules and routines of the class day. The children have access to an indoor and outdoor play area to enable them to participate in child initiated learning environment in a range of movement, sensory and curriculum based activities.

We use a total communication approach that includes using Makaton, PECS and visual aids. We value the support of parents and carers and ensure informative home – school communication is provided daily through the use of class dojo as we know how nice it is to see what the children have been doing in school.
