Exciting news! 14 ducklings have been spotted on our pond this week!
Acorns are being authors this week! We’re working on writing our own books.
A final update on this year’s Big Pedal – we finished 3rd in the North East and 44th nationally. A fantastic effort from all our pupils and supporters.

World Book Day fun in Hawthorns

Hawthorns will be selling delicious, home made Fair Trade chocolate crispie cakes on Monday. They will cost 50p and all proceeds will go to class funds.

On Monday 6th July the flood works within mainstream will begin. Please read the ‘Surface Water Management Plan’ provided by the council. School is working closely with Northumbria Water and South Tyneside Council on this project.
Tuesday 10th February is Safer Internet Day. The theme this year is ‘Let’s Create a Better Internet Together’. Next week in school we will be accessing activities and assemblies around e-safety.
Year 4,5 & 6 are visiting Thurston Outdoor Education Centre from 11th to 13th February.
